In 1931 the world watched in awe as Don Bradman played like no other player ever had, James Scullin was Prime Minister of Australia and nine and a half million Australians struggled to overcome the ravages of the great depression.

Against this unforgettable and historic backdrop was also born the firm that would eventually come to be known as 'Septimus Jones & Lee'.

Over nearly eighty years, as historians have chronicled all the amazing events that followed, this fledgling firm has also grown into one of the most recognised and respected Melbourne law firms, whilst still embracing the values and guiding principles that have been forever burned into it psyche by its founder Septimus Colman Jones.

Today as his legacy continues to grow, evolve and embrace the challenges unique to the modern age, Septimus Jones & Lee remains totally committed to delivering practical effective legal advice and unfailingly supporting its clients.
