COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT
The commercial department of SEPTIMUS JONES & LEE embraces some 75 years (consistent with the establishment of the practice) legal and commercial expertise. Spearheaded by Anthony Zanelli, Patrick Lawler and Ian Dear as Coordinator, it offers a varied spectrum of services that comfort clients with a "one on one" relationship that ensures prompt and reliable attention to their needs.
The experience of the division ensures a client's reputation is preserved, enhanced and protected at all times. We consider this is an important factor when acting for our commercial and professional clients as we are well aware of the essentiality of one's reputation. The services are not limited to but include;
- Complex and General contractual negotiations and disputes.
- Corporate governance and asset protection including advice on the liabilities and obligations of those at or below Board level.
- Directors and Corporate and Professional Liability with emphasis on insolvency/reconstruction, receivership, liquidation and voluntary liquidation and insolvent trading claims against Directors.
- Commercial, industrial and residential disputes and resolution inclusive of mediation and arbitration on all issues.
- Commercial and general litigation in Federal, Supreme and County Court jurisdictions.
- Personal insolvency/Bankruptcy and Schemes of Arrangement.
- Commercial recovery from Creditors through to enforcement action.
